Flower of Devotion

The Most Holy Virgin Love said to the venerable Mary of Jesus:
“My daughter, wonderful is the love, faithfulness and solicitude with which the angels help people in their need. On the other hand, the recklessness and severe ingratitude with which people repay these benefits is highly reprehensible. The heavenly spirits behold with happiness the Face of the heavenly Father with full clarity, and thus they see His infinite and fatherly love for us.
There they appreciate rightly the blood of the Lamb, which redeemed men and brought them salvation. There they see the value of souls who have been redeemed at the price of the Deity. And from this appreciation flows the solicitude and zeal with which these holy angels guard these souls and do good to those souls whom the Most High has entrusted to their care because the Lord holds them in such high esteem. Know thou that mortals would receive abundant light and incomparably great graces through this supreme service of angels, if they did not themselves shut up these fountains of inexhaustible grace by the contempt with which they repay these great benefits. Since they obstruct the way by which God in His loving providence has willed to lead them to eternal salvation, most of them perish in vain, who, through the protection of angels, might have been saved if they had not despised this grace and this means of salvation.
O my dearest daughter, because so many people are too lazy and lethargic to contemplate the paternal works of my Most Holy Son, I demand special gratitude from you in this regard. After all, he has given you a generous hand, appointing angels to be your guardians. Beware of their presence, listen to their admonitions reverently, follow their light, esteem them highly as messengers of the Most High, and ask their help, that, cleansed from sin and freed from imperfection, inflamed by the love of God, you may be raised to a full spiritual condition, and thus become able to associate with them, to be in their presence, and to receive heavenly enlightenments from them. God will not deny you this, if you prepare for it according to my instructions.”
