Venerable Mary of Jesus describes in her apparitions how the creation of Heaven and the angels took place:
“The cause of all causes was God, the Creator of all that has existence. God wanted to begin the miraculous works of His omnipotence at that time and in the way that pleased His free will. The origin and course of creation is narrated by Moses (the writing of the Book of Genesis (Genesis, Bereshit) is attributed by Christian and Jewish traditions to Moses. Editor’s note.) in the first chapter of Genesis, and since the Lord has given me His explanation on this
subject as well, I will here say what is necessary for the knowledge of the works and mysteries of the incarnation of the Word and of salvation from the very beginning.
On the first day, or as Moses says, “in the beginning,” God created heaven and earth: heaven for angels and men, and earth as a place of experience for men.
Then God created angels in heaven, and that in a state of grace, that by means of grace they might merit glory as a reward, for although they were in the place of glory, yet they had not yet seen the divinity face to face, until those who were obedient to the will of God had merited this happiness by grace.
Thus both the holy angels and the unfaithful angels were only a short time in the first condition of experience. The creation, experience, and determination of the angels took place in three short intervals of time. In the first moment they were all created and endowed with the grace and gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that they were very beautiful and perfect. This was followed by a small space of time in which the will of their Creator was made known and made known to all of them. They received the commandment and the rule of conduct by which they were to acknowledge their Creator as their Lord and thus to fulfill the purpose for which God had created them.
