Flower of Devotion

The Most Holy Virgin Love said to the venerable Mary of Jesus, “
High and lofty are the thoughts and intentions of the Lord. His Providence over souls is strong, merciful, and wonderful, in guiding all, namely, His friends and the elect. If men understood with what full love and solicitude this Father of mercies guides and directs them in sorrows and consolations, they would not be so anxious about themselves. They would not indulge in such burdensome, unnecessary, and even dangerous cares as they burden themselves with and cling to other creatures because of them. They would give themselves quietly to the infinite wisdom and goodness of God, who with fatherly gentleness and goodness would take care of all their thoughts, words and deeds, and all that is for their salvation. For from all eternity the Lord has had in His Divine Spirit all His elect, who are to live in the various times and ages of the world, and by the invincible power of His infinite wisdom and love He has prepared and ordered for them all the good things that serve them for salvation, so that they may finally reach the end to which He has predestined them.
