St. Bridget heard the Lord say:
“I, God, am the Spirit.” I speak and it becomes; I command, and all things obey Me. Verily, I am the One who has given existence and life to all. Before I made Heaven, I made mountains and earth. I am in Myself, who am above and beyond all, as I am in all, as all is in Me, and without Me there is nothing. And since My Spirit dwells everywhere where He wills, and can do all things if He wills; And he knows everything, and he is faster and more agile than all the other spirits. For He possesses all power, and foresees all things present, past, and future; therefore it is My Spirit, i.e., My Divinity, which is rightly incomprehensible, but which Itself comprehends all things.
