Flower of Devotion

The Lord said to St. Bridget:

“I am the King whom men should fear and worship.”
I am a great and mighty King.
A king has four things: first, he must be rich, second, gentle, third, wise, and fourth, loving. I am truly the King of angels and of all men. I also have the four qualities that I mentioned. In the first place, I am very rich, for I give to all what they need, and after giving it I have nothing less. Secondly, I am very gentle, for I am ready to give to all who ask Me. Thirdly, I am extremely wise, for I know what is necessary and useful to everyone. Fourthly, I am full of love, for I am more ready to give than anyone can ask for benefits from me.
