Flower of Devotion

The Lord once said to St. Bridget:

“I am like a mother who goes out to meet her lost son and gives him a light along the way so that he may see the path. Out of love, he goes to meet him, shortens his way, and when he comes to him, he embraces him with his arms and congratulates him on his happiness. In this way, to all those who return to Me and to My friends, I will meet them with love and enlighten their hearts and souls to Divine wisdom. I will embrace them in all their splendor with the choir of heaven, where there is no heaven above, and earth underneath, only the Face of God, where you have neither food nor drink, only joy.
The way to hell will be opened to the wicked. Those who walk in it will never go up, for they will have no glory or joy, and will be filled with misery and eternal shame.
That is why I speak these words and show My love, so that those who have turned to Me will return and know in Me their Creator, whom they have forgotten.
