St. Mechtilde once said to the Lord Jesus in a grave illness:
“Oh, how poor I am in spirit now, when I can neither praise You nor pray to You.” The Lord graciously answered her: “Praise Me with these words: Glory be to Thee, O sweetest, noblest, brightest, ever-peaceful, and ineffable Trinity! And then I will unite the word sweetest with My divine sweetness, the word noblest with My sublime nobility, the word brightest with My inaccessible light, the word peace full with My serenity, and the word ineffable I will add to My immeasurable goodness. Thus will I offer to the worship of the most worthy Trinity, through Myself, the most pleasing praise in sacrifice.”
