Flower of Devotion

On another occasion the Most Holy Virgin Love said to the venerable Mary of Jesus:
“Surround the angels with the same love and reverence that you would show them if you saw them with the eyes of the flesh. Be careful, therefore, and prudent in your conduct, for these princes of heaven are present with you. Do not dare to do anything in their presence that you would not wish to do publicly. Do not neglect in God’s service to do what the angels do and require of you. Remember that the angels, as blessed, are constantly looking into the face of God (cf. Mt 18:10), and therefore it would not be right for them to see something wrong while looking at you. Thank them for guarding you, defending you, and encouraging you to virtue.
Beware of their inspirations and warnings, with which they enlighten you and encourage you to turn your heart and mind to God and to exercise yourself in all the virtues. Consider that you call them often, and they answer you that you seek and find them! How many times have they exhorted you to love God, how many times have they rebuked you lovingly because of
your negligence and mistakes. If, in your temptations, in your weakness, you lost the path of God’s light, the angels waited patiently for you and opened your eyes to lead you back into the true way of God’s will. Oh, do not forget, soul, that for so many benefits received from the angels, you owe gratitude to God. Seek to show it through love for God and his holy angels!”
