Flower of Devotion

On one occasion the Lord Jesus said to St. Mechtilde:

“My Father has been working until now, and I am working” (John 5:17). My Father works in you by His power and helps you in a work for which your strength would not suffice. I work with My Divine wisdom and assist you in the work that surpasses your senses. The Holy Spirit, by His exceeding goodness, completes in you a work that you cannot yet feel.”
