On one occasion St. Mechtilde asked the Lord Jesus: “What is the use of a book containing her revelations?” The Savior said to her,
All who seek me with faithful hearts will find joy in it, those who love me will be more kindled in my love, and those who are sad will find comfort in it.”

A Prayer of Gratitude to God for His Love and Goodness

The words of the Most Holy Virgin Love taken from the apparitions of Venerable Mary of Jesus:
O my sweet love, O life of my soul, who are you, God the Most High, and who am I? What wilt thou make of me, that in Thy immeasurable greatness Thou hast stooped and shown me, the dust of the earth, so much mercy? What shall Thy slave girl do for Thy love, and how shall I give Thee the thanks due to Thee? How can I repay you for all the benefits you have done me? My being, my life, my strength, my senses, my wishes and sighs are all yours. Comfort Your handmaid who, because of her inability to serve You as she ardently desires, is grieving and grieving. Oh, how limited are man’s faculties! How weak is his ability, how mediocre are his feelings, that he cannot reciprocate your love as he desires! You will always be a victor before Your creatures through Your generosity and mercy. You will always celebrate the triumphs of love! We, on the other hand, must submit ourselves with gratitude and humility to You and confess that we are defeated by Your might. We will humble ourselves to dust, and Your greatness will be praised and glorified forever. Amen.
