Flower of Devotion

The Most Holy Virgin Love said to the venerable Mary of Jesus:

“The Most High takes great delight in the works of the chosen souls. A father rejoices in his only son, handsome, very kind, and often looks at him in the midst of caresses; the artist rejoices in the masterwork of his hands; A king from a rich city which he conquered, a friend from his beloved friend. Yet incomparably more than all of them God rejoices and rejoices in the souls whom He has chosen for His delight; and in so far as these souls are able to receive His graces, and progress in perfection.
If the faithful had rightly understood this truth, they would not only have avoided sin, but would have done great things, and would have been willing to die, in order to show obedience and love to Him who is so generous in rewarding and so disposed to give and to help.
