Flower of Devotion

When, during the Mass, the epistle was read, “He has given him the Name that is above all names,” St. Mechtilde said to the Lord: “My Lord, what is the honor of the most worthy Name that the Father has given you?”
The Lord answered, “That name is the Savior, for I am the Redeemer and Savior of all that is and will be. I am the Savior of those who were before I became a man. I am the Savior of those who were there at the time when I walked among men as a man. And I am the Saviour of all those who have followed My teaching, and of all who will yet follow in My footsteps to the end of the world. And this is the most venerable Name, which alone the Father has destined for Me from the beginning, the Name that is above all names.
