In the apparitions of St. Bridget we read that the heavenly hosts of angels appeared before the Lord and said: Glory be to Thee,
Lord God, and honor to Thee, who art and have been without end. We are Thy servants, and we praise and honor Thee for three reasons: First, because Thou hast created us to rejoice with Thee, and hast given us an ineffable light, that we may rejoice eternally. Secondly, because by Thy goodness and constancy all things were created, and all things exist and depend on Thy will, and abide by Thy word. Thirdly, because You created man, for whom You took upon Yourself humanity, whence the greatest joy arose for us; and you were born of your most pure Mother, who was worthy to bear you, whom the heavens can neither comprehend nor comprehend.
Therefore, may Your splendor and Your blessing be above all for that angelic dignity which You have raised to such an exaltation. Let your everlasting eternity and constancy be over all that is and can be. Let your love be upon the man you created. You are to be feared, O Lord, for Your great power. You Yourself are worthy of desire for Your great love, You Yourself are worthy of love for Your great goodness, therefore may you be glorified without end and without ceasing, forever and ever! Amen.
