On one occasion St. Mechtilde asked the Lord Jesus: “What is the use of a book containing her revelations?” The Savior said to her,
All who seek me with faithful hearts will find joy in it, those who love me will be more kindled in my love, and those who are sad will find comfort in it.”

Ascension of the Lord Jesus

According to the apparitions of the Venerable Mary of Jesus:
During the forty days after His Resurrection, the Divine Saviour was always with His Blessed Mother in the dining-room, except on the occasion when, according to the account of the Holy Evangelists, He appeared to the Apostles and the holy women.
When the day came when the most gracious Savior wanted to ascend to heaven to sit at the right hand of the heavenly Father for all eternity, the apostles gathered in the dining hall. Here the Lord Jesus appeared to them and commanded them to preach the Gospel to the whole world. Later, when more believers were gathered, one hundred and twenty in all, the Savior wished to bid them all farewell, and to this end He spoke to them with great love.
This talk was deeply moved by all present. They wept with grief that henceforth they would be deprived of the sight of their most gracious Father. The Savior also told them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to remain in prayer until He would send them the promised comforter, the Holy Ghost.
Then the Lord Jesus and His little company left the dining room. They walked through the streets of Jerusalem, and the Lord Jesus closed the procession. Next to him walked the Most HolyVirgin Love. They went in the direction of Bethany. A host of angels and saints who had come from the abyss and from purgatory followed them, singing new songs of praise; but these blessed ones were not visible to anyone, but the Most Holy Mother of the Saviour saw them.
This was the progress of the procession further and further to the summit of the Mount of Olives. When they all arrived at the place which Providence had chosen, they divided themselves into three choirs: one of them was made up of angels, another of the saints, and the third of the apostles with the faithful, who again formed two rows. Jesus Christ took the leading place.
Then the Blessed Mother fell at the feet of her Son, paid him divine homage full of admirable reverence, reverence and humility as the true God and Redeemer of the world, and implored His blessing. All the faithful present followed the example of their great Queen and did the same.
The most gracious Saviour, full of graciousness, gave them a blessing, then folded His hands, and began to rise above the earth with His own strength, leaving the footprints of His most holy ones upon it. In inexpressibly charming movements, the Lord Jesus hovered with choirs of angels and the righteous of the Old Law in the air higher and higher, while the faithful present lifted up their eyes and hearts to Him.
