Flower of Devotion

On one occasion St. Mechtilde saw the Lord Jesus seated at the right hand of the Divine Majesty and purifying sinners. Since the nuns, with a broken heart and a repentant spirit, went to confession, the Lord Jesus embraced each one of them with His right hand. He took away all her sins within himself, and as perfectly as if they had never been committed; and thus purified he presented them to his heavenly Father, who looked upon them with grace and said to each one of them, “The right hand of my righteous man has seized upon thee, that thou mayest be fully reconciled.”
