On one occasion St. Mechtilde asked the Lord Jesus: “What is the use of a book containing her revelations?” The Savior said to her,
All who seek me with faithful hearts will find joy in it, those who love me will be more kindled in my love, and those who are sad will find comfort in it.”

Teaching of Godly Mother on the Church

The Blessed Virgin Mary gave the following teaching to the Venerable Mary of Jesus about the Church of the Lord Jesus on earth:
In order to be the Head of the Holy Church on earth, and the Head of the elect for all eternity, My Most Holy Son, the Lord Jesus, descended from the womb of His Eternal Father and became My man in the womb. To find the children lost by Adam’s first sin, he clothed himself with mortal and bodily suffering. In order to leave an example of His innocent life to the people, and to impart to them His true, eternal salvation of His teaching, He lived and labored among them for thirty-three years. In order to redeem and obtain for them in an efficacious way infinite goods of grace and glory, which the faithful could never merit, He took upon Himself the bitter Passion, shed His Blood, and suffered a very painful and ignominious death on the Cross. In order that the Holy Church might finally rise from his dead body in a mysterious way, allowing it to be pierced with a spear.
And since the life, passion, and death of His Son were so pleasing to the Eternal Father, He instituted in His Church the Sacrifice of His Body and Blood, so that by it the memorial of His sacrifice on the cross might be renewed, and the faithful might have the means to mitigate the justice of God and to propitiate it. In addition, the Lord Jesus wanted to remain in the Church always in the Blessed Sacrament as food for His faithful; He also wanted them to always have a source of grace close by. Ultimately, the Lord Jesus wanted to be for them the last meal on the way to eternity and a guarantee of eternal life.
Further, the Lord Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to His Church to fill her with His graces and His wisdom. He also promised his Church that the Holy Ghost would rule and govern her at all times, in such a way that the holy Church could neither err nor doubt, nor ever fall into danger of any error.
The Lord Jesus enriched the Holy Church with all the merits of His life, His Passion and Death. These merits are distributed by the Saviour through the holy sacraments, of which He instituted as many as the faithful need them from their birth to death, in all the stages of their lives. To cleanse oneself from sins, to ensure constancy and perseverance in His grace, to defend oneself against evil enemies, to overcome the enemies of holy Church by defending them, and, finally, to overcome one’s own natural passions.
To administer all these Sacraments the Lord Jesus ordained and left to the Church separate servants.
Further, the Lord Jesus chooses for Himself in the Church militant at all times the holy souls to be His special trusted friends. He gives them His secret and hidden graces, and works through them, if necessary for His praise, signs and wonders. By their works the Lord God inclines in gentleness and hears their petitions for themselves and for others, so that the communion of saints may be maintained in the Church of Jesus.
Further, the Lord Jesus gave to His Church a source of light and truth, namely, the Holy Gospels and, in general, the entire Sacred Scripture written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In addition to this, the resolutions of the holy councils and the full certainty of the old tradition, that is, of Tradition.
In due time, the Lord Jesus raises up in His Church of the saints, filled with wisdom teachers; and he calls scholars to train other fit men, preachers and priests in excessive numbers. The Lord Jesus also enlightened the holy Church by means of miraculous saints, adorning her with various religious orders, in which the perfect apostolic life is preserved and exercised.
The Lord Jesus governs the Church through numerous ecclesiastical leaders and dignitaries. And in order that order and order might reign in all things, he instituted in the Church a visible head, who is the Roman Pontiff, the Pope. He is the vicar of Christ, and as the Head of the wonderful spiritual body of the Church, he has supreme teaching and executive power.
Ultimately, the Lord Jesus defends His Church and shields it from the powers of the world and hell until the end of the world.
My daughter, hold this Holy Church in high respect and esteem and love it with all your heart; rejoice in its treasures and enjoy the heavenly riches which the Church possesses with their Giver. Strive to keep this Church connected to you and you to it. For in him you will find refuge and consolation and remedies in sorrows and hardships, hope in your exile, light and truth for a safe pilgrimage in the darkness of the world.
