Flower of Devotion

On one occasion the Lord said to St. Gertrude:
“Those who worthily receive Holy Communion will be adorned with great glory, and the reward for this is varied. There is one reward for those who approach My Table with love and zeal; another for those who come to Me with reverence and trembling; and yet another awaits those who prepare for Holy Communion with a few holy exercises. And those who circumvent this terrible mystery only out of custom will have no part in My bounty.”
