Flower of Devotion

The Lord Jesus revealed to St. Gertrude what a great sweetness his Divine Heart possesses when a man full of sorrow contemplates how often and in many numbers he has distanced himself from God; and when afterwards he makes a firm resolution to reform, he will not fall into sin again. At the same time, the saint knew that those who made this firm determination would infallibly become a tabernacle and a temple of God.
