On one occasion St. Mechtilde asked the Lord Jesus: “What is the use of a book containing her revelations?” The Savior said to her,
“All who seek me with faithful hearts will find joy in it, those who love me will be more kindled in my love, and those who are sad will find comfort in it.”

God’s promise for reverently listening to the Holy Mass at the hour of death

Once upon a time the Lord Jesus said to St. Mechtilde:
Whoever listens to Holy Mass devoutly and attentively can be sure that in his last hour I will send him as many of My saints as he has heard Holy Masses on earth to console and defend him, so that his soul may be brought to Me with reverence.
