Flower of Devotion

The Lord Jesus added the following words to the teachings quoted above:
If anyone wishes to obtain these graces in the last moments of his life, let him try every day to imitate the holy works that I performed on earth. Let him rise above his body, let him keep it in check and let him rule over it. Let him lead only a spiritual life, let him completely entrust Me with the guidance of his heart. Let him certainly expect from My mercy that I will constantly give him proofs of My fatherly care with which I will watch over him and enrich him with all kinds of goods. Ultimately, let him offer Me all his sorrows and adversities, and he will see that they will serve to increase his reward and the glory of the heavenly crown.
And if it should happen that, due to human weakness, he would follow his own will in some matter, which he completely submitted to My will, let him immediately repent and let Me once again be the master and guide of all his deeds. Then I will take him back under My protection, guide him kindly and bring him finally to the infinite glory of the heavenly Kingdom.
